Bristol began this annual celebration back in 1785, and it has gotten so popular that Bristol is now known as America’s “Most Patriotic Town!” Not to mention, Bristol is so patriotic that it actually has red, white and blue stripes along one of their main streets!

The celebration is organized and put on by 120 outstanding volunteers who are dedicated to not only celebrating the national holiday, but honoring civil servants, military and fire personnel of the Bristol community.

There are a variety of activities that Bristol puts on throughout their Fourth of July celebration. There are several free outdoor concerts that will take place at Independence Park, Orange Crate Derby races, a firefighters’ muster, parade through downtown, and of course, fireworks!
