Within the state of Rhode Island, there are so many stunning areas to see, some that are extremely historical, as well! If you are looking for some fun weekend plans, check out some of our favorite areas in Rhode Island, and make a day trip out of it! Here are some of our favorites:
Watch Hill. There are so many fun activities to do in Watch Hill. Not to mention, it is stunning! Whether you are looking to hang out on the beach or try some fine dining – Watch Hill has it all. Notably, Watch Hill has beautiful lighthouses that are must-sees, including the Old Lighthouse Museum which you can buy tickets for to learn more about whaling, sealing and farming from hundreds of years ago.
India Point Park. In Providence is India Point Park, a stunning park that you can hang out at and enjoy the views. The park is 18-acres total and is full of different paths to walk on along the shoreline that is 3,600 feet long! This park is also located walking distance from some of Providence’s hottest events and attractions.
Newport Mansions & Cliff Walk. If you are in Newport, you must check out the Newport Mansions as well as the Cliff Walk. To get a full tour of the Mansions, you can purchase tickets and get an in-depth look of the interior and exterior of some of Newport’s most historical Mansions. If you are looking for a nice morning or afternoon stroll, Newport’s Cliff Walk offers stunning views – and runs right along the Mansions so you can get a look at those as well!
